Magnolia Tilda Sends Birthday Wishes

Happy Tuesday, Dearest Readers,

Did you have a fun holiday weekend? Welcome to the unofficial start of summer! It's burgers and hot dogs on the grill tonight! Might as well get that grill in gear for the summer! I love hot dogs cooked on the grill. There's something about the flavor that is better that way!

Today begins a new challenge at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog! This is a great challenge, and I know so many of you will join in because the theme is

Create a Birthday

Card!

How's that for a fun theme? There are so many Magnolia stamps that would be perfect - especially the new Zodiac Collection!

For my inspiration card, I chose to use Tilda with Big Ice Cream from the 2013 With Love Collection. Honestly, I think the ice cream looks like a cupcake with ice cream on top! LOL It is a darling stamp regardless! LOL Here it is:

I loved the colors of the paper I used. It's from My Mind's Eye (Howdy Doody) and has pale green, pale peach, and lemon. It just reminded me of ice cream colors. The cupcake die is from Marianne Design. I love this die set! The interior of the card is finished on both panels to match the front. The card stock is Bazzill. Tilda has been colored with Distress Inks.

Magnolia-licious will be carrying the new Limited Edition Doohickey Club! I've preordered mine, how about you? You can find the info HERE. I can't wait for them to come!

Thank you for visiting! I hope I gave you a little bit of inspiration! I hope you will come back soon. Oh, I almost forgot - there's a Blog Hop nest week! I hope you will check out the projects my amazing teamies have created with a Summer theme!

XO,

Chris

Sneaky Tilda and Napoleon Together

Happy Sunday, Dearest Readers,

Can you believe that May is almost gone? Where is time going? The older I get, the faster time seems to fly by! I have to tell you, that is scary to me! I want to be around for a while! LOL I'm not ready to check out just yet! LOL

It has been so windy for the past couple of weeks. That is a sign of Spring around here. Some gusts have exceeded 70 mph! We did have a couple of branches break off our trees. At least it didn't snow here! A town 40 miles up the road got 10 inches of snow a week and a half ago. The weight of all that snow just wrecked so many trees there. We were lucky. We got rain. They are higher in elevation than we are, so it was colder.

Well, today begins a new challenge at the Addicted to Stamps Challenge Blog. The new challenge is…

BINGO!

Here is your Bingo board:

The usual rules are in effect - diagonally, vertically, and horizontally. For my card, I chose to go across the top - lace, sentiment, die cuts or punches. Make sure you tell us what row you are doing, OK? Here is my inspiration card for you:

I love this shade of blue! It is soft and perfect for Spring! I used Bazzil card stock, Magnolia Sneaky Tilda masked with Magnolia's Napoleon, the cat. Both stamps are from the Animals of the Year Collection. I used an older Martha Stewart Border Punch that was just collecting dust, dies by Spellbinders and Cheery Lynn, and flowers from my stash. The patterned paper is by First Edition - Up, Up, and Away. I also used Pop Dots to elevate portions of the design. Here are additional images:

I hope you will leave a comment to let me know what you think! I'm very pleased at how it turned out. I love when I surprise myself! LOL

I hope you will join the new challenge at the Addicted to Stamps Challenge Blog. Bingo Challenges are such fun to do.

Have you heard that Magnolia is going to have a Die Kit Club? Yup! It'll be like their Stamp Club (seasonally), and be offered several times a year. Magnolia-licious is offering the kits at such a wonderful price. However, there is a limited quantity, so check it out as soon as you can. Just follow the link above. I can't wait to see what dies are in the kits! LOL

Well, that's about it from the hot desert of Southern Utah! I love that you visited and hope you will come back again real soon!

XO,

Chris

Honeybee Tilda in Sunny Yellow

Happy Tuesday to you, Dearest Readers,

How are you today? How was your Mother's Day? I hope it was a special one. Have you been busy creating wonderful things? I've just been working at creating cards so that I don't get behind! Life is good!

A new challenge begins today at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog! Today, our new challenge is -

Create something in

Sunny Yellow!

What a fun challenge! I love yellow, for me, it is probably the most difficult color to photograph. I have chosen an older stamp duo for my card. Want to see it? LOL Here it is:

For my card, I used Pion papers from a couple of collections as I was going for the color. I also used two Magnolia stamps from the Summer Memories Collection. The Tilda is called Honeybee Tilda. Diana does not currently have her in stock, but if you are interested, just contact her. The large flower stamp, Summer Daisy, with the background included, is in stock. You can find it HERE. You know, I was thinking about how cute some of the new sitting Tilda stamps would be as a great pairing with this Summer Daisy stamp. Hmmmm...

I wanted to go "shabby" with this card because of the papers' colors. I inked and distressed the edges, added some Shabby White Fran-tage, a very pale yellow lace and seam binding, a hidden tag, flowers from my stash, some glitter, and a bumble bee embellishment on the bow of a hidden tag. I love how it turned out!

The interior has also been finished in Pion papers, die cuts, flowers, seam binding, etc. I have to finish the insides when I make a card! I tried just doing the front and it was more work to later add, and remember, all the products I had previously used when I did the front, LOL! **YIKES! - my memory is to far gone to do that! **

I hope you will leave a comment below as well as on the blogs of my fellow Teamies! One name will be drawn from those comments. That person will win something wonderful from Diana!
